Great wall
Brick over brick, I have built myself a great wall over the years For a reason, - because of fear, One that would hide the soft side that I bear It was a long way to go, But I was happy with the progress, The wall was high, Enough to cover and shelter my little soul I am happy with the comfort I have, But then, there was this murmuring outside A stranger, a soul I met through voices through the wall He said, he is my kind It was then I realized, I talked to myself for a long time And lost the feeling of cordiality and warmth. I enjoyed talking to this voice outside, He speak of honey, lingering through my soul Through time, he talked about a door on my wall, One, that I didn't, and never made He talked about seeing me, He talked about letting him in Gladly, thrilled, and hopeful, I break my walls Only to find out, I was talking to none; I was hoping for none... Or at least, he left and watch the fool that I am I said, and I was, afraid of the rain and...
